Formed in 1996 with their current line up since 1998, Denver's very own Apathy has become a dominant force in the underground metal
scene. For nearly 9 years, they have inspired and brutalized music fans around the world. Their musical genius and originality is driven
by their crushing drums, hard hitting bass, intensely melodic guitars and diverse vocals that make this heavy four piece a band to look
out for.
Since 1998 Apathy has played countless shows, all over the region gracing the stage with bands such as: Testament, Six Feet
Under, Moonspell, Katatonia, Decapitated, Krisiun, Fireball Ministry, Artymus Pyledriver, Thine Eyes Bleed, Animosity, Lizzy Borden,
as well as, hanging with their idols: Vinnie Paul Abbott, Dax Riggs, Anders, Jonas (Katatonia) and Alex Skolnick.
Gaining respect in their ventures, "If you want to hear one of the heaviest and most original bands to come out of Denver, make sure you get this CD
by one of the best bands this side of the Mississippi", "Live, they are amazing. Energetic, spastic and down right insane".
- Rod Brown, Throat Culture Magazine - 2003.
"When I asked Colorado-based bands what local groups stand out, APATHY
is mentioned more often than not. Little wonder after hearing this excellent Hellion Studios-produced full length CD. Don't let the
beanie on vocalist Brian Ortiz's head fool you, this is outstanding modern heavy metal music with strong death metal influences.
APATHY is different from other bands by virtue of their intriguing musicality. They break up the grind with thrashiness,
feature trippy background vocals, and offer creative solos. Don't miss the hauntingly beautiful (and unexpected) final track.
A band with this much talent, good material, and taste, deserves much more press. If you haven't heard of them before, remember that
you read about them here first. Get this! -- Jon "K" Konjoyan Pit -
The extreme Music Magazine(c) 2003.
With influences from Cannibal Corpse to Type O Negative to Opeth is the eclectic nature of this no-holds-barred metal outfit. Never
conforming to normality, Apathy proves to be one of the most original and innovative bands in the world.
See you in the pit!
